Algerian act Soolking tops the lists of the “Most Streamed Artists by African Users”, and the “Top 20 Most Streamed Artists from Africa and the Diaspora”.
Digital streaming service Deezer, released both lists: “Most Streamed Artists by African Users” & “Top 20 Most Streamed Artists from Africa and the Diaspora” along with the specially curated “Africa Unite” playlist in celebration of African artists, in commemoration of Africa Day on May 25th. Both lists were topped by Algerian act Soolking, followed closely by France-based Congolese rapper Ninho.
Deezer’s editor for Africa, Sotiris Moldovanos, said: “What makes Africa so special is the rich diversity that can be found everywhere, from our culture, languages, art and especially our unique music.”
