A-Q Revives the Nigerian Rap Scene with new Album ‘Golden’

Multi-award-winning rapper Gilbert Bani known as A-Q is out with a new album titled ‘Golden’.

‘Golden’, is an intimate masterpiece made up of 7 tracks. On the body of work, we see A-Q carve out a lane for himself with his soul-bearing lyricism and touching on deep subjects like spirituality, overcoming hardships, and social injustice.

A-Q known for his immaculate pen game does not disappoint as he once again lays his musical arsenal on ‘Golden’ supported by a solo feature from Chike on lead single “Breathe“.  A-Q is constantly looking to raise the bar with his music and creative direction which comes across seamlessly on Breathe.

His discography has a total of 12 projects so far, including a joint album with one of Africa’s foremost rappers M.I Abaga. With multiple awards wins like “Lyricist on the Roll” and “Rap Album of the Year“, A-Q is currently charting a new course, managing a music incubator program for African artistes that aims to be an enabling part of the next crop of music success stories across the African continent.

With his highly impeccable penmanship and passion to develop upcoming talent, a lot can be expected from A-Q going forward.
