African rap heavyweight Sarkodie gave fans a surprise treat on his birthday eve with latest drop “CEO Flow”. One the newly released cypher-styled cut Sarkodie recruits veteran American rapper and “Choices” hitmaker E40. As the title infers, “CEO Flow” is heavy on braggadocio,and sees Sarkodie aiming subliminal shots at his adversaries as usual.
Amaarae – Leave Me Alone
Paving the way for forthcoming debut full-length album “The Angel You Don’t Know”, Ghanaian alternative musician Amaarae outdoors freedom anthem “Leave Me Alone”. Produced by a powerhouse production duo of Kuvie and KZ The Producer, Amaarae’s trademark silvery voice floats effortlessly over the lush dancehall-inflected production.
Mensa Ansah – I No Bed
Seasoned Ghanian rapper and all-round musician, Mensa Ansah (M3nsa) of FOKN BOIS fame returns with all new single “I No Bed” which is hot on the heels of earlier released collaborative effort “Still Dey Inside” which features Amaarae and Budapest based producer OIEE. Written, produced, mixed and mastered by M3nsa himself, “I No Bed” is an organic rap piece performed entirely in his native Fante dialect, accurately capturing the trepidations that keeps your average Ghanaian up at night.
Juls ft Miraa May & Donaeo – Blessed
Prolific British Ghanaian disc jockey and record producer Julian Nicco-Annan, better known by his stage name DJ Juls outdoors new single titled “Blessed” which he has described as a big deal! The banging track features Algerian, UK based singer/songwriter Miraa May and veteran “Party Hard” hitmaker Donaeo.
Kofi Jamar ft Stonebwoy – Mi Dey Up (Remix)
Fast-rising Ghanaian act Kofi Jamar releases the remix of inspirational tune “Mi Dey Up” – the original version is yanked off his recently released debut compilation project: “The Truth” EP. On the remix, Kofi Jamar recruits Ghanaian reggae/dancehall phenom Stonebwoy who adds a touch of panache to the saxophone infused dancehall piece.
Shatta Wale ft Medikal – Miss Money
Serial hitmaker Shatta Wale cannot go wrong as he delivers what is already sounding like yet another smash hit! Produced by regular collaborator Beatz Vampire, “Miss Money” sees Shatta Wale reconnect with AMG Business frontline rapper Medikal who delivers an epic guest verse on the groovy tune!
Medikal ft Okese1 – Shout
Multiple award winning rapper Medikal serves upbeat hip hop tune titled “Shout” featuring Okese1. The jam is taken off Medikal’s newly released 9-track EP dubbed “Island” which spots guest appearances from the likes of Kevin Fianko, Amg Armani, Kwesi Slay, Kennedy Agyapong and Okese1. KaySo – Take it
Tema based record producer cum recording artiste Kayso gifts us his first single of the calendar year. His biggest musical contribution in 2020 thus far has been in the capacity of a record producer – earning production credits on Kidi’s monster hit record “Say Cheese”. Kayso however trades the production boards for the microphone this time around , outdooring criminally infectious afrobeat jam “Take It”.
Kelvyn Boy – Killa Killa
Fews days after hinting the impending release of his sophomore compilation project titled “Black Star”, Blakk Arm Entertainment signed act Kelvyn Boy is back with another banger! Produced by his go-to producer Samsney, “Killa Killa” is a beauty appreciation tune that sees Kelvyn Boy compliment his love interest on her banging body.
E.L – Change My Story
Rap heavyweight E.L outdoors visuals to emotive rap track “Change My Story” which is yanked off his recently released 3-track tape. “Change My Story” features rappers Kwame Dame, Dr. Laylow and Tradey who all brought their A-game. Watch the simplistic Visivo-directed visuals below:
Klu – Own Money
Rapper and record producer Klu drops visuals to earlier released pop fused rap track “Own Money”. On the self-produced joint Klu sing-raps over a wavy low-fi synth-infused instrumental, speaking on scheming his way to financial freedom. The Archey-directed music video depicts the idea of long fruitful happenings resulting from the hustle!
Mobeatz BangR ft SSUE – Deja Vu
Chicago-based producer cum recording artist Mobeatz BangR finally releases his debut EP ”BangR Diaries”. The 6-track EP is a synthesis of various urban music genres all of which are beautifully pieced together with vocals done in English, Twi and Ga. Our pick off the project is the trap cut “Deja Vu” which features US-based soul singer, SSUE.
